The Land Use and Development Committee endeavors to implement the development guidelines established in the
Broad Ripple Village Plan (adopted by the Department of Metropolitan Development in November 2012) and submits recommendations to the BRVA board and Department of Metropolitan Development regarding zoning and planning issues and local and state boards and commissions regarding the issuance of alcoholic beverage permits.

  • 6519 Carrollton Avenue – Misha Rabinowich will be presenting on behalf of Gershman Partners regarding the Petition for Rezoning submitted for the property located at 6519 Carrollton Avenue, which seeks a change to C-3 zoning. A variance of use was previously granted to allow office use for Smallbox at this site, meeting the immediate needs of the tenant. However, based on the recommendation from the Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) staff, a rezoning petition is necessary to ensure the property is properly zoned. 2024-ZON-140; Hearing Date: February 13, 2025
