The Land Use and Development Committee endeavors to implement the development guidelines established in the
Broad Ripple Village Plan (adopted by the Department of Metropolitan Development in November 2012) and submits recommendations to the BRVA board and Department of Metropolitan Development regarding zoning and planning issues and local and state boards and commissions regarding the issuance of alcoholic beverage permits.

Presentations 
  • 6220 Guilford Avenue (Versa Project) - Michael Thottichira from Milhaus will provide an update on the public art component of the Versa project. This presentation was previously shared with the Public Art for Neighborhoods committee. The public art installation is a required element for project funding.
  • 6462 N Broadway Street - Hannah Able from Pad Architecture is presenting on behalf of 6462 N Broadway Street. The property owner is requesting a variance of development standards for their proposed addition to the existing detached garage. The first ordinance to be modified is the percentage of existing non-conforming accessory setback to be extended from 50% to 82%. The second ordinance to be modified is the rear accessory setback to be reduced from 5'-0" to 3'0".
  • 6138 Central Avenue - Eric Jensen is presenting on behalf of 6138 Central Avenue. The property owner at 6138 Central Avenue is requesting a variance to expand the existing attached garage. 2025-DV1-007
  • 6280 N College Avenue - Joe Calderon of Barnes & Thornburg is presenting on behalf of 6280 LLC in a request for a partial vacation of the alley associated with the Marko on the Canal project. 2025-VAC-003
